1. The service
The Hospitalist Workout (“the Service”) is an online medical education platform providing case-based clinical reasoning content for physicians. The Service is operated by Cam Clayton, MD, CCFP, operating as The Hospitalist Workout (“we,” “our”).
2. Not medical advice
The content provided through this Service is for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. The cases are fictional. Clinical decisions should always be based on individual patient assessment, current local guidelines, and the practitioner's own clinical judgment. We do not provide patient care through this platform.
3. Not accredited continuing medical education
The Service is not currently an accredited CPD programme. It does not carry Mainpro+ credits or any other accredited CME credit. Content is competency-mapped to published hospitalist frameworks to assist you in documenting self-directed learning, but responsibility for your own CPD reporting remains yours.
4. Membership and payment
During our launch period, membership is free. No payment information is collected. Paid tiers may be introduced in the future; existing members will be notified by email before any charges apply, and payments would be processed securely through a third-party payment processor. All future prices would be in Canadian dollars. You may close your account or unsubscribe from email at any time.
5. Accounts
Accounts are for individual use only and may not be shared. You are responsible for keeping your password private. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that appear to be shared or misused.
6. Intellectual property
All content — including case text, reference cards, self-assessment questions, and teaching materials — is the intellectual property of The Hospitalist Workout. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission. Personal use for your own learning and clinical reference is permitted and encouraged.
7. Clinical accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to ensure clinical accuracy and currency of all content. However, medicine evolves and guidelines change. We cannot guarantee that all content reflects the most current evidence at all times. Users are encouraged to verify clinical information against current local guidelines and to report any errors to us promptly.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Hospitalist Workout and its creators shall not be liable for any clinical decisions made based on our educational content, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
9. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to members. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
